midori
It's been a while, but I'm still here.
Also, a few pieces featured in Carpaccio Magazine #26.
I also have an editorial illustration in Hyphen Magazine's most recent issue (The Bittersweet Issue).

small things

The triangles are from maybe a month or so ago. The girl is from today.
I was getting tired of drawing so tightly. Sometimes it's hard for me to do things loosely, like people without too much planning/sketching beforehand.
I'm trying to update this more frequently! It seems I've been really lazy about it..

new flowers
Recently I was able to screenprint a few things for Florin Buddhist Temple's Obon Festival/mini-bazaar. This is how it came out:
original drawings

tote bags

cards

I ran out of most of the bags (there are still brown ones and one black one left), but I had a lot of cards, so some of those are still left waiting to be written on!
Besides that.. recently I feel all flower-ed out. On to the next?

obon time!

2 poster/flyer designs for Cortez's annual Obon festival. It has been printed in black on color paper, so this was a test to try out some colors.
A few other things are in the works, but not close to done yet.

I did, however, get a new sketchbook! (Hopefully in the future I will also get a real camera or somehow find my very old one..)
And a thank you to Kim Zingale for dropping me an email and putting my site on their feature page at Poccuo yesterday!

suits

Random drawing maybe a week ago. I'm not one to use a whole lot of color, and I don't use photoshop much except for touch ups, but I thought I'd try it out on this.

End result. Sloppy, I know. I didn't go in with the intention of adding any color. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future?
also, thanks to Jason Dean who dropped me an email letting me know he featured me on his site, The Best Part!
